This amount is close to the maximum limit of 250 mg permitted for elemental magnesium from dissociable salts, as established by the European Commission’s Scientific Committee on Food. This can be confusing, as the total daily limit for magnesium in food supplements is 375 mg. However, dissociable salts like magnesium citrate release magnesium completely, ensuring optimal absorption in the gut. If you find products claiming more than 250 mg of magnesium from magnesium citrate, they are likely using citrate buffered with magnesium oxide—a non-dissociable salt with very low absorption. In these cases, a higher amount of elemental magnesium does not guarantee better availability for the body.
The B-complex vitamins in Mag-fusion, such as B6, B12, and folate, are provided in their bioactive forms: pyridoxal-5-phosphate (P5P), methylcobalamin, and L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate, respectively.
