Each Menovon capsule provides 40 mg of isoflavones, equally from red clover and soya extracts (20 mg each). Soya provides mainly genistein and daidzein, while red clover offers formononetin and biochanin A, resulting in a more varied and balanced profile. The standardisation of extracts ensures a consistent amount and proportion in every batch.
Soya and red clover have traditionally been used in the management of symptoms associated with menopause. Several clinical studies and scientific reviews highlight the role of their isoflavones in this context*. However, to date EFSA has not authorised health claims for soya or soya extracts.
